Paso 1 Interior face plate

Remove the faceplate by prying upwards with a plastic opening tool.
This faceplate is magnetic and will be easy to come off.

Use a T6 Torx Screwdriver to remove the six 9 mm screws from the interior face plate.

Using a plastic spudger tool, remove the interior face plate. Go around all the edges, prying downwards until it's removed.
Make sure to hold the controller upside down; otherwise the buttons will fall out.

Remove the plastic joystick that is covering the joystick module by pulling up on from the gray grip.

To gain access to the joystick module, you will need to gently bend the metal retention clips that hold the module in place.
Use a plastic spudger to gently bend the retention clips back.

Pull directly up on the joystick module to remove it from the motherboard.
Make sure to hold the joystick module from the red portion to prevent it from falling apart.
